Yeasts are the source of amino acid, protein, minerals, vitamins and enzymes. They are especially rich in vitamin of the B complex

 

  • Thiamin :

Thiamin or Vitamin B1 is a water soluble vitamin. The body needs it to convert carbohydrates and fat into energy. It promotes a healthy immune system. It helps the body to cope with a stressful situation. A deficiency of this vitamin affects the nervous system, cardiovascular, digestive and growth.

 

  • Riboflavin :

The riboflavin or vitamin B2 is a water soluble vitamin. The body uses it to convert carbohydrates, fats and proteins into energy. This vitamin is used for the treatment of migraine and anemia. It is useful for the maintenance of cognitive functions. Depression is sometimes associated with a lack of riboflavin in the body.   • Pyridoxin :

 

The pyridoxine or vitamin B6 is a water soluble vitamin. The body uses it for lipid  and amino acid metabolism and to the synthesis of serotonin.

 

  • Folic Acid :

The folic acid or vitamin B9 is a water soluble vitamin. A deficiency of this vitamin affects the production of red blood cells, the nervous system, the immune system. It helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

 

  • Cobalamin :

 

The Cobalamin or vitamin B12 is a water soluble vitamin. The body uses to convert carbohydrates, fats and proteins into energy. This vitamin is the largest and has the most complicated structure. It is produced only by fermentation. A deficiency of this vitamin affects the production of red blood cells, cell division, the nervous system and the synthesis of DNA and RNA.
